To acknowledge excellence in the field of deaf education, two AATD Victoria Awards may be offered annually:
AATD (Vic) Exemplary Practitioner Award
Awarded to an exemplary practitioner working in deaf education.
To be eligible for this award the nominee must be currently practising as a Teacher of the Deaf and be a current AATD (Vic) full member.

AATD (Vic) Education Impact Award
Awarded to a professional currently engaged in the sector for their influence or impact on the field of deaf education.
Applicants for the award should be currently engaged with the sector. This could include working within schools, academic research, early intervention or associated committees.

A winner from each category may be nominated by AATD (Vic) for the NAATD Des Power Memorial Awards at the discretion of the AATD (Vic) committee.
